Miner Mingle - Student and Employer Networking
Miner Mingle is the first campus-wide networking event designed to allow employers to approach students instead of the other way around.
Hundreds of employer representatives will be on campus the night before the career fair and they all want to talk to you.
This is your opportunity to mingle with your peers and invite employers into your conversation. You will get the chance to meet company reps in a less formal way over refreshments and music.
Make an impression and then follow-up with them the next day at the Career Fair! NO Resumes allowed. ALL students welcome.
What to do when I get there?
First, you will sign in and grab a name tag. There will be tables set up with departments, some student organizations and design teams. Feel free to hang in the general area of the group you most want to identify with (or move around). Use this event, not only to get extra time with companies, but to also mingle with your peers. CAREER FAIR MAPS WILL BE AVAILBLE at this event. Use this time to plan your route for the next day, practice your power introductions, and share Career Fair tips with your friends. The more students come to this event, the more employers will be attracted to return in the future, providing even more opportunities for you!
