Rural Strong Workshop
Entrepreneurs, small-business owners and community stakeholders can learn more about resources powered by the Small Business Administration (SBA) at an upcoming workshop.
“This workshop covers all of the federal services and programs, including lending products, SBA resources and USDA Rural Development Agency resources,” says Karen Leatherman, business development specialist with the Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC) at Missouri University of Science and Technology. “We will also talk about SBTDC resources at this workshop, which is a partnership between the Small Business Administration St. Louis District Office and the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Agency.”
Missouri S&T’s SBTDC provides business counseling and assistance to aspiring entrepreneurs and small businesses in the areas of management, new business creation, business acquisition, business sales, marketing, financial analysis, human resources, operations management, succession planning and technology commercialization. Most services are provided at no cost.
The center is a University of Missouri Extension partner and part of the Missouri SBTDC statewide network, which is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
