2022 Prakash Lecture

Dr. Edward Kavazanjian, Regents Professor and the Ira A. Fulton Professor of Geotechnical Engineering in the School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment in the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University, will present the upcoming 2022 Prakash Distinguished Lecture.
His talk titled, “Case Histories and Liquefaction – An Intimate Relationship,” will briefly review the development of case history-based liquefaction triggering and residual shear strength relationships. Dr. Kavazanjian will discuss current issues in their use and then describe the role of case histories in his current work bio-mediated desaturation for mitigating the potential for earthquake-induced soil-liquefaction.
