In this year's Stueck Lecture titled “Engineering Evolution: Bridging Proficiency & Excellence,” Col. Aaron Hill will delve into the evolving landscape of engineering education, professional development and industry practices. He will talk about work that illuminates strategies for engineers to transcend mere competency and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, fostering breakthroughs and advancements essential for the ever-changing demands of the modern world.

Hill is professor and head of civil and mechanical engineering at the U.S. Military Academy. He was commissioned as an engineer officer from West Point in 1997, where he majored in civil engineering. He has served on worldwide assignments in Afghanistan, the Sinai Peninsula, Bosnia and Croatia and has taught courses in civil engineering ranging from structural engineering and steel design to infrastructure systems and construction management.
