The Intelligent Systems Center (ISC) will host its 20th annual poster presentation featuring displays of current research in several areas, including intelligent manufacturing, computational intelligence, embedded systems, cyber security and trustworthiness, advanced simulation and control, and cyber-physical and smart living systems.

New this year: Research Teaming Booths

To further promote collaboration and innovation across disciplines, this year’s event will include Research Teaming Booths designed to encourage interdisciplinary research and development. These booths will showcase ongoing and emerging projects that integrate expertise from multiple fields, offering faculty, students, and industry partners an opportunity to exchange ideas, identify synergies, and explore potential collaborations.

Examples include:

Distributed Digital Factory (D2 Factory) Prototype

This cutting-edge prototype connects manufacturing equipment and systems across different locations, enabling real-time collaboration, remote process integration, and distributed production optimization. Drone prototyping and manufacturing will be utilized as the initial application.

DOE STTR Mini-Tensile Testing System

Developed under a DOE STTR project, this next-generation automated material testing system offers improvements in cost efficiency, speed, and versatility. It supports rapid mechanical characterization of materials for research and industrial applications in advanced manufacturing and materials development.
