Have you ever wondered how the principles you are learning in your engineering classes are applied in industry? On February 8 at 6 pm, Christy Lee will be sharing how the engineering design process is applied at Caterpillar. Christy is a Missouri S&T graduate in Civil Engineering and has been an engineer at Caterpillar for 25 years. In this presentation, Christy will give a brief overview of Caterpillar and share how the engineering design process is used to develop new Caterpillar products and services. She will also discuss some of the techniques that Caterpillar uses to understand customer needs, evaluate & select design concepts, and communicate engineering results. There will be an open networking reception after the presentation with engineers from Caterpillar. They will be accepting resumes and talking about future employment opportunities during the reception. We hope you’ll join us!

There will be a reception with refreshments after the lecture at the Atrium and 140 Toomey Hall.
