http://alp.mst.edu/news-and-eventsTheater students in the arts, languages, and philosophy department will perform “Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead” at 10 p.m. Dec. 1-2 and 7 p.m. on Dec. 3 in the Black Box Theatre in Room 143 of Castleman Hall.
“Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead” is a play by Bert V. Royal that reimagines characters from the “Peanuts” comic strip as degenerate teenagers. When CB's dog dies from rabies, CB begins to question the existence of an afterlife. His best friend is too burnt out to provide any coherent speculation; his sister has gone goth; his ex-girlfriend has recently been institutionalized; and his other friends are too inebriated to give him any sort of solace. But a chance meeting with an artistic kid, the target of this group's bullying, offers CB a peace of mind and sets in motion a friendship that will push teen angst to the very limits.
Tickets are $15 for the public and $10 for Missouri S&T students with a valid S&T ID. This show contains mature content and adult language and is recommended for audiences ages 17 and over.
Tickets can be purchased 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday from the Leach Theatre Box Office, located inside the main entrance to Castleman Hall, facing 10th Street.
