The Missouri University of Science and Technology community is invited to attend and participate in this current and relevant discussion.

Join us for a conversation about Exclusion and Inclusion in 2017. Hear from campus experts about the effects of exclusion, and exclusion in the context of American history and culture.  After two brief presentations, the university community will be invited to discuss exclusion and the manner in which we can move our community forward to make our aspirational value of an “inclusive community” more achievable.

Missouri S&T holds Inclusion as one of its shared values, a necessary part of its mission to help solve the world’s great challenges. We know that innovation is built on an environment values openness, understanding, and all people and perspectives. In the face of the challenges we see across the country and our world, how do we create and maintain this environment? How do we reconcile inclusion with the notion that there are some perspectives that opposite of creating an inclusive environment? These are some of the questions that we will pose to the participants.

Scheduled to present are:

Dr. Larry Gragg,

Curators’ Distinguished Teaching Professor and former Department  Chair, History and Political Science.

Dr. Jessica Cundiff

Assistant Professor, Department of Psychological Science.
