DESCRIPTION:The Missouri University of Science and Technology community is 
 invited to attend and participate in this current and relevant discussion.
 \n\nJoin us for a conversation about Exclusion and Inclusion in 2017. Hear
  from campus experts about the effects of exclusion\, and exclusion in the
  context of American history and culture.  After two brief presentations\,
  the university community will be invited to discuss exclusion and the man
 ner in which we can move our community forward to make our aspirational va
 lue of an “inclusive community” more achievable.  \n\nMissouri S&T hol
 ds Inclusion as one of its shared values\, a necessary part of its mission
  to help solve the world’s great challenges. We know that innovation is 
 built on an environment values openness\, understanding\, and all people a
 nd perspectives. In the face of the challenges we see across the country a
 nd our world\, how do we create and maintain this environment? How do we r
 econcile inclusion with the notion that there are some perspectives that o
 pposite of creating an inclusive environment? These are some of the questi
 ons that we will pose to the participants.\n\nScheduled to present are:\n\
 nDr. Larry Gragg\,\n\nCurators’ Distinguished Teaching Professor and for
 mer Department  Chair\, History and Political Science.\n\nDr. Jessica Cund
 iff\n\nAssistant Professor\, Department of Psychological Science.
