Sixuan Wu, a doctoral student in geology and geophysics, will present their defense titled “Provenance of the Uppermost Carboniferous–Lower Triassic Sandstones, Bogda Mountains, NW China: Implications on the Late Paleozoic Tectonic History of the Southern Central Asian Orogenic Belt.” Wu is advised by Dr. Wan Yang, professor of geosciences and geological and petroleum engineering.
