DESCRIPTION:Please join us for the Kummer Innovation and Entrepreneurship (
I&E) Doctoral Fellow research presentation panel on Friday\, April 8 from
12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. in the Physics-104 room. The Kummer Institute for Stu
dent Success\, Research\, and Economic Development’s Kummer Student Prog
rams will host students\, staff\, faculty\, and visiting alumni on academi
es as four Kummer I&E Doctoral Fellows provide a brief overview of their r
esearch followed by a Q&A with the audience. Light refreshments will be se
rved.\n\nThe presentations will feature the following research concentrati
ons:\n\nActive Microwave Thermography (AMT)\, An Overview - AMT is a Nonde
structive Testing (NDT) technique that utilizes the electromagnetic proper
ties of a sample under test to effectively heat said material. This heat i
s then observed on the surface with an infrared camera and any potential d
efects within the material can be seen on that surface level. (Logan Wilco
x\, Electrical Engineering)Accelerating Circular Economy Transitions for a
  Sustainable Built Environment\, A Systems-Based Decision-Making Framework
  - Targeting the acceleration of circular economy transition to a sustaina
ble built environment using a systems-based framework and to generate stra
tegies that redesign the building sector to better manage resources and cr
eate value. (Radwa Eissa\, Civil Engineering)Long-Range Interactions Betwe
en Molecules – Gas-Phase Molecular dynamics is essential in many areas l
ike Atmospheric or Astrochemical Dynamics\, particularly when molecules ar
e at low pressure and temperature (long-range interactions). This presenta
tion shows the obtention of the Potential Energy Surfaces for any Gas-Phas
e Molecular dynamic systems in the long-range base on their multipole expa
nsion. (Adrian Batista\, Chemistry)Geometric Control of Glass 3D-Printing
Via Thermal Imaging Feedback: A brief discussion of 3D printing optically-
transparent glass\, feedback control\, and thermal imaging. (Aidan Brooks\
