2020 was a disastrous year, by anyone’s standards. Hurricanes, tornados, wildfires and even the COVID-19 pandemic. What can we expect from climate changes in the future? Are you prepared for an unexpected natural disaster? Is your city prepared? Dr. Grace Yan examines the current trends, what they mean to individuals, as well as to our planet. Learn how to contribute to community preparedness and what you can do to live more harmoniously with nature.

Missouri S&T's virtual Speakers Series brings together knowledge experts from academia and industry to discuss a wide range of topics of interest to busy professionals — from cutting-edge research, leading during uncertain times, health and well-being, and more.

All talks are open to the public. 

The Speakers Series is hosted by Missouri S&T's Office of Global Learning, in collaboration with S&T's Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate StudiesStudent Diversity Initiatives, the College of Arts, Sciences and BusinessResearch on Tap, and the College of Engineering and Computing
