  Ivashyn\, a University of Central Florida faculty advisor. He would appre
 ciate your attendance and the opportunity to meet you and discuss his teac
 hing and research.\n\nAbstract:\n\nThe presentation introduces the topic o
 f engineering materials and their properties. Tensile and Torsional Streng
 ths\, Hardness\, Resilience and Toughness will be discussed among the othe
 r material properties. Cold Work and Temperature Effects will be introduce
 d. Material Numbering Systems and Material Processing will only be discuss
 ed if time allows.\n\nBiography:\n\nDr. Vlad Ivashyn worked in academia fo
 r over 16 years. He joined the University of Central Florida in 2022 as a 
 faculty advisor for the Senior Design capstone program at the Department o
 f Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Prior to joining UCF\, he was work
 ing at various universities in the United States and the Republic of Irela
 nd to include Pennsylvania State\, Temple\, Greenville\, Limerick (TUS) an
 d Santa Clara. He received his doctoral degree in mechanical engineering f
 rom the University of Limerick in Ireland. His master’s and bachelor’s
  degrees are also in mechanical engineering. He has held various engineeri
 ng positions\, while working in industry for over nine years.
