Mr. Kamou Biko Kaya, guest speaker for the arts, languages, and philosophy department's French speaker series will present "The Congo River: Africa's Second Longest River & Largest Basin."
Mr. Kaya is a native of the Republic of the Congo, or Congo-Brazzaville, and is a current graduate student and Fulbright scholar in the Department of Geology and Geophysics. Kaya has over 8 years of experience in community service and youth education.
He will speak about the geography, history, and biodiversity of the Congo Basin as the largest river basin in Africa, and the “second lung” of the Earth.
This talk is free & open to the public, and will be presented in French and interpreted in English. All are welcome!
